Boulder Double Trouble—Mold/Bio-Hazard
This home in Boulder was receiving a service for biohazardous cleanup--removal of asbestos-laced floor tiles. Our SERVPRO of Lafayette / Louisville crew discovered a mold infestation within the baseboards and suspected more mold damage inside the wall cavity. Moisture on this exterior wall wicked in from the outside and provided the water source necessary for the dormant mold spores to develop. The team then cut out the contaminated drywall at the two-foot mark, discarded the non-salvageable drywall panels and proceeded to scrape off visible existing mold patches. The sprinkler was adjusted to prevent future spraying of water on the exterior house surface, and then an antifungal agent was applied to the wall cavity and the framing. The After Photo illustrates the mold and biohazardous remediation completed and the room now ready for a rebuild "Like it never even happened." Our customer was very pleased with our expertise and range of services we provided.
